Director's Statement
I recently discovered a Facebook group called Cine Sundays, and one of the members happened to mention the Three Shots Film Festival. Since this was my first film, I was hesitant to enter the competition at first, but the "three-shot sequence" piqued my interest, and I decided to participate.
During this pandemic, I had seen my family go through difficult times, but they never stopped praying to the Lord for help, and that is what inspired me. However, I wanted it to be told from the perspective of another person—a teenage drug dealer in the midst of a pandemic.
We have a tendency to lose ourselves while we are going through a difficult situation. In the middle of a pandemic, most of us are going through difficult circumstances that are putting our sanity to the test and making us question God's presence. The film also reflects the injustices in the Philippines with the current administration's drug war.
